A Simple Meditation to Open the Heart Chakra

The heart chakra sits at the center of the chest, and in pranic healing it's treated as the place where physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing genuinely meet — not metaphorically, but as the actual point practitioners work from when someone is carrying grief, heartbreak, or long-held resentment. A heart-opening meditation is one of the simplest tools available for this, and one of the few that costs nothing and needs no equipment.

To try it: sit comfortably, close your eyes, and place a hand gently on your chest. Breathe slowly, and on each exhale, silently repeat a phrase that means something to you — "I release what I no longer need to carry" works for many people. Ten to fifteen minutes is enough. The aim isn't to force an emotional release, just to give the chest space to soften rather than stay braced.

People come to this meditation after very different things — a breakup, a loss, ordinary accumulated stress. What it offers isn't an instant fix, but a regular practice of unclenching, which over time tends to be what actually helps.
